I’m in love with a sentence.

Does that ever happen to you?  You’re skimming along in an article and suddenly a sentence stops you and your heart skips a beat.  You read it again, slowly.  You savor it.  And you fall in love with the unseen writer who captured so much magic in just a few words.

The article was about John Coltrane, one of my favorite jazz musicians.

Malcolm Jones describes Coltrane as “…the creator of music so radical it still sounds like it was written tomorrow.”

Ahh.

I want to sink into those words.  To marinate to my bones in them.

I want to live that way – so fresh and at my Red Hot best today that my life sounds like it was written tomorrow.
